What Croqui is
Croqui is an invitation-only tool operated by Ink and Pixel for architecture practices. An architect enters a client brief; Croqui prepares concept directions, checked numbers, floor plans, visual explorations and a printable deck for the practice to review. It is a drafting aid for early-stage work.
Everything Croqui produces is an exploration for review by a qualified architect. Nothing it produces is approved, compliant, final or construction-ready, and nothing it produces should be presented to a client, a planning authority or a contractor without an architect's own review. Every sheet says so.
Who may use it
Access is granted per account by Ink and Pixel after an enquiry. Each account belongs to one person and must not be shared. A practice is responsible for the people it asks us to switch on, for the briefs and drawings they upload, and for how the output is used afterwards.
Your allowance
Each account may run a limited number of generations in any rolling hour, per button and in total, and there is a ceiling on the whole service. A press that would go over is refused before anything runs. A generation that starts counts against the allowance even if it fails part way, because the work was done. Nothing is retried on its own. Access is currently provided by invitation; if paid plans are introduced, the terms for them will be published before any charge is made.
What we store
- Your account: the email you sign in with, your access settings and sign-in records, held by the Ink and Pixel account system.
- Your practice: the firm name, city, track record, past work, drawing notes, letterhead and credo you enter on the firm page. The concept brain reads these to answer as your practice.
- Your projects: the brief, site details, budget, uploaded drawings and site plans, and everything generated from them: concepts, numbers, plans, renders, sheets and decks.
- Usage records: which button was pressed, when, by which account, and the model token counts of each call, so allowances and costs can be accounted for.
Data is held by Supabase (Postgres and file storage) on servers in the European Union, the application is served by Vercel, and transactional email is sent by Resend. There are no analytics or advertising trackers in the studio.
Which providers see what
Two model providers receive parts of your project content, only when you press a button that needs them:
- Anthropic receives the project brief, site description, budget, the firm identity you entered and the concept it is working on, to write concept directions, floor plan geometry and render prompts. Anthropic's commercial terms state that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models.
- Replicate receives the render prompts and, for locked exteriors and 3D plan views, the drawing or line image being rendered. Replicate runs the image models on our behalf and its terms state that API inputs are not used to train models.
Neither provider receives your account details. Ink and Pixel does not sell or share your data with anyone else.
Confidentiality
Client material is treated as confidential. Each account sees only the projects in its own workspace, and Ink and Pixel staff open a project only to provide support you have asked for or to investigate a fault. We do not use your briefs, drawings or output to promote Croqui without your written agreement.
Your rights and removal
You may delete a project yourself from its page; that removes the project, its runs, sheets and stored images. To delete an account, or to have every project in a workspace removed, write to us and we will remove it permanently from the database and the file store, and confirm when it is done. Copies already sent to a model provider are governed by that provider's retention terms, which are short and exclude training.
Availability and liability
Croqui is provided as is, by invitation, while it is being developed with practices. Model providers can be slow or unavailable; a failed run says so and can be pressed again. Ink and Pixel is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of generated output that has not been reviewed by a qualified architect, and its liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in the preceding three months.
Changes
When this statement changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are announced to account holders by email.
